Unhappy air bag warning light

Hi all and happy new year to everyone.
I have a 2001 XK8 Coupe and the airbag warning light on the glove box lid has started coming on intermittently. It does not seem to be related to anything or anyone on the front seat and, as best I can make out seems to be approximately related to road speed (goes off when the car comes to a rolling stop).
(If anyone from the UK responds I promise I won't even mention the cricket!!)

Any ideas please????

Hi John,
Could be the occupancy sensor in the A pillar or the seat weight sensor.
Is there a flashing air bag symbol on the dash?

Try disconnecting the connectors under the passenger seat, cleaning and reconnecting. Might work.

As for the cricket, the Aussies wanted it more than we did, well done.

Hope this helps,

From the behaviour you describe, my vote is for the seat weight sensor.

Cricket - even more mind numbingly boring than golf.
