Default From the airport parking garage - Is this a custom conversion or a special edition?

Saw this xk(?) in the parking garage last night, noticed the Perseus wheels and some body striping. It looked to have some other differences, but I couldn't put my finger on it. This is the first time I've seen the pics I took from my phone..sorry if the quality is not what you are accustomed from me.

Grey paint, silver racing stripes on the boot, and off the front fender.

Any idea if this is owner customization?

looking at the headrests...it appears to be a 2003+ model. No side moldings. Badge under the side repeater. Hard to tell if there's a chrome trim on the rear tail lamps.

Looks like a 2005 by the side sills. From the exhaust I'd guess XKR. The closest thing I could think of is the Sterling Moss cars they made 5 of. Maybe the owner wanted something a little more suble, but in the same vein?

That would be a 2006 XKR Victory Edition Coupe with custom stripping.

And guessing custom wheels as well since I believe the Victory's all had the chrome 19" Atlas wheels.

By all indications it is a Victory Edition coupe with custom stripes. One thing that is hard to tell by the photo is if the tail lights have a smoked appearance with clear areas where the lights are, that is a dead giveaway. Also did you notice if the interior was carbon fiber?

All XK8s Victory Editions had 19" Atlas wheels, XKRs where supposed to have 20" Perseus (BBS RXII) wheels but many dealers swapped them out with non factory Chrome Atlas wheels. I have first hand experience with this.

Looks to be custom stripes just so it looks like a Stirling Moss.

Doug - the XKR Victory Ed has the Perseus wheels not the Atlas. The Atlas might be for the XK8s.

Got it. We have an XK8 Victory Edition and I thought it shared the same wheels with the XKR but now I know better. Both are good looking wheels on this chassis but the BBS are even sweeter.

I did not stop to take a look at the interior, it was a long day flying and I just wanted to get home...another 1.5 hours.

I think it was a good looking car, first time I'd seen the Perseus wheels in person. Wonder what brand that exhaust was.

thanks for chiming in Victory edition specialists!

Matt, the quad pipe setup is also stock on the '06 Victory Edition.

So what did you think of the Perseus wheels? I personally like them the best, but your style comes in a close second.

Nope, must be the XKR's since we have a 2006 XK8 Victory Edition with just 36K miles and has regular dual tailpipes.

Doug, yes, I did mean on the XKR. I guess because I own one of these, I don't consider the XK8 version of the Victory Edition even though there are far more of 8 VE's than R VE's.

There are several other styling queues that differentiate the VE's from the regular production models as well.
