Default All 98 convertible XK8 owners please read.

I am in the middle of a quandry, I am needing some info on our cars... My car does not have the vcats sticker in the trunk and I am having computer issues... and can't do much with out the vcats codes. I am asking for USA cars, convertible abs/traction control equip cars to please snap a pic of your vcats sticker so I can compare codes from different cars to see if there are any patterns that might lead me to guess what my vcats code may be... you may private message me or feel free to post away here... or simply pm me and I will pm you back my personal email address for you to send it.

If you have a Euro spec car and want to send the info we can also see if there is any coloration there...

Thanks!

Glenn

VCATS sticker is in the trunk.. could be in the tire well... or on the little wall by the battery... maybe on the back of the carpeting panels... my car doesn't have it so I cant direct you to a specific place.. i can show you what it looks like from one i found on flicker...

Stupid question - Did you pull up all the carpeting and trim in the trunk looking for it? I found mine on the drivers side (port) outboard bulkhead, none of the threads/photos indicated it would be there. I can undestand it being faded and unreadable but I can't understand someone removing it and it being gone unless the car wrecked and a body panel was replaced.

In any case it is probably not going to be much help because it is a radically different car but since you are looking for trends ....

THIS IS FOR a 2001 SUPERCHARGED XKR, CONVERTIBLE, WITH ABS/TC

It looks as if the battery was changed a long time ago and not with a vented one... so the floor area around the battery has a bit of surface rust, I kind of think this is what happened.
