Head gasket etc. 2000 XKR
After running rough at start up and white vapor coming out the exhaust, the shop tore it down and found: the slightly breached head gasket, cracked guides, rusted (but dry) coils, broken breather connection on right side valve cover, and PLASTIC tensioners (despite dealer printout that they had been updated ). Definitely replacing guides and tensioners.
(Sorry, don't seem to be able to get pictures to work)
Questions:
It appears there was water in the coil well at one time, since there is rust, but it was dry at disassembly. Should I replace all four?
Do you know where I can get a new valve cover, or a way to repair the broken lip?
Anybody need a plastic tensioner? It looks to be in good shape.
