Default Another castor angle question for UK owners.

I wasn’t smart enough to identify the shim positions on the upper wishbones before they fell out. However, I believe that the locations are all the same for each model and market, eg UK right hand drive. Is there anyone out there that might have dutifully recorded the order for the same vehicle and market. If so, can you help me please? I have a 2005 XKR X100, 20” wheels, CATS, DSC, R performance. Many thanks. Maybe US shimming is just mirrored for opposite road camber? Anyway, I can’t accept that the original production line would shim each UK vehicle differently.

Here you go. Typo in ROW pack 1, (should be Thick x 1 and Thin x 1)

When I did mine, I glued the double shims together using threadlock to make it easier to insert them. You might also want to consider opening the holes in the shims slightly to make it less likely that they bind when being removed the next time you do this job.

Try not to lose any of the shims either - it's a real pain having to take it all apart again when you find out.

Good advice, thanks.
Replacing some missing shims. Amazon lists much cheaper 2.5 thickness, id 16/30mm washers in brass = thick + thin. Thoughts on using brass?

Brass are soft and will be compressed.
It is not that hard to make your own shims out of sheet steel (or what ever you call it).

NO! There are always 8 shims in total, 4 thin and 4 thick. If you insert 1 thin and 1 thick in pack 1, you have to remove one of two thin shims in pack 2

?

4 shims per side, 2 thick and 2 thin.

List above shows ROW as 3 thick and 1 thin on LHS

Thanks. Just found 1.6 and .9 mm shims at SNGBarratt UK for less than £1 each.

I found the end washers in the bushings were almost exactly the same thickness as the thick shims - I suspect at some point in the past, one of those was used in place of a thick shim on my car - seems like a good substitute if you need a thick shim.
