I didn't have any problems before attaching image files but now can't get any response from the attachments paperclip. Current Attachments does mot do anything for attaching a file, either. I delayed posting my last new thread and finally launched it without the pictures. I figure I'll edit photos in later.
I have another new thread with an interesting question but again, can't attach an image.
Sadly, the site developers always seem to be more concerned with advertising content than usability.
A work around for you would be to create an album and put them there then you can paste the code for the image into your posts. That is what I do almost all the time. I too have seen the attachments feature be broken more than once.

It seems to be an issue with my favorite web browser, Opera. A week ago, this website took on a whole new look and I figured it was an upgrade and there were a few bugs to iron out.
I opened Jaguarforums in Chrome and it was the same old look and works fine.
Are you uploading the photos to the forum, or hosting them somewhere and uploading the links? If the former, then there is a limit that you may have reached.
Jaguar Forums uses an updated Attachment tool from forum owner Internet Brands but this was introduced some time ago and I see you successfully posted images in December. There are a few factors involved. File type as well as your connection to the server. If the file size is too large and/or your connection to the server is not fast enough, the upload may time out and cancel.
I use the Advanced button with the subsequent Upload Files options screen:
I do prefer to upload rather than link as the images are then stored on Internet Brands servers and not reliant on third party hosting.
