The "Posts that have been Deleted" thread
I guess there has been some recent ad hoc decision-making for what posts will be acceptable on what threads. I was recently the victim of a recent post deletion where my faux pas was my post defending one of the mods in a thread where this was deemed not relevant!
Anyway, how about this thread where the mods can just MOVE irrelevant posts rather than delete them entirely? As long as the posts are polite and articulate I don't see the harm in creating this way-station for errant posts.
Have in jest but half serious (as always)

Lol....Doug
Thanks for defending the mod team, and that wasn't why your post was removed btw
It was removed by Translator as it was "off topic"......to be fair he did announce his intention earlier in the thread I believe.
If its any consolation I believe he also removed one of RSN as well as at least one of mine
No problem. You will find I can be a bit of a wise-*** at times but basically try to maintain good humor (the trait, not the ice cream) so you can delete this thread if you wish.

LOL guys, I did hesitate before deleting a mod/admin defending post. Honest.
But an edict had been issued, so everyone got a dose of the Cat.
And they were in a very specific thread, you'll have to agree.
Now it seems that we are going to have to make sure that nothing technical appears in this thread.

Here's a suggestion:
Wouldn't it be fair for the Mod to at least note that a post had been edited, rather than letting the readier assume that what he's reading is actually what the poster said? In my case, sometimes, it is not.
(Wondering if this too will be edited ...)

Yes it would be fair Dennis!
By the way, it was I who edited your posts, as well as others and removed even more posts entirely, and no I didn't inform anyone.
In fact I've been so busy the past few hours editing posts, removing posts, checking through this and that, responding to "reported posts" as well as more, that its left very little time to do much of anything else, barely catch a breath.
As we're talking about being fair, it might also be fair if snipes, comments, back biting, flaming, trolling etc etc were to stop, This would mean that we too as mods / admins could actually spend some time and enjoy the site.......now that would be fair!
Point me to any on my part and I'll try to learn from it.

Not a dig at you, or anyone in particular Dennis, more, just everyone at the moment.
Certain parts of posts, as well as entire posts were edited or removed as they were considered inflammatory, certainly when placed in context and in these threads.......These then generated replies, which generated comebacks. I'm guessing you can see where this is going?
The sooner that posters self moderate in these topics, the sooner the editing / post removal can be reduced.
