Can't seem to find anything on this by searching the forum. My XK8 is one of the smoothest running and "quietest" cars I have ever owned. Have to check the tach at idle to make sure it is still running. At any rate, when stopped the only sound I hear is a slight whine from the ECU fan. There are a myriad of 12V fans available as replacements, and just wondering if anyone has replaced theirs.

 

I would pick one that has the same or higher CFM rating then look for the one out of those with the lowest DB noise rating. And stay away from fans with "sleeve" bearings. (usually the cheaper ones).
