Default Anyone try a j-pipe resonator on Adamesh or other stage 1 straight pipe?

Just fitted my Adamesh stage 1+2 on my 03' XKR and it just as expected from a number of good videos on youtube. It's a nice quality kit and I like the priomary sound level. The drone is about what I expected (obvious) so I'd like to knock it down a bit without putting the stock cans back on.

One option I've seen people do is a j-pipe designed for that particular resonance. Wondering if anyone has toyed with or tried that idea - either on the adamesh or any other straight pipe designs?

I just live with it. I find just manually changing gear to 4th or 3rd help a lot so it isn't in the 1500 rps range. I do notice it starts to drone again around 3000rpm but past that it's fine. I did think about trying to fix it but to be honest I think it would just end up taking a long time and look ugly. Likely some aftermarket back boxes would fix the drone but you will likely remove some of the nice sounds.

Talking Not bothered by a slight bit of resonance

I have the Adamesh Stage 1 with large Ovals on my 2001 XK8 (4.0). I have absolutely no issue with the noise generated by it. Each to their own here i think, as some people have an intolerance with noise levels and others don't. I use the car regularly to have a fun drive, so a V8 growl goes hand in hand with that. Admittedly, I don't have the stage 2 over axle delete mod done on my car which would remove two other silencers, so I expect it's obvious to expect even more noise and resonance if you have both done.

Yeah as @Kuddlesworth said, it's just a matter of preference. There's the growl and there's the drone (they are two distinct things) and it's just what works for you. In my younger years I had a Eagle talon (mitsu eclipse) with big front mount intercooler, garret 16G turbo and 3" cantaloupe launcher out the back, and this pales in comparison.... but it's still obviously there. Just haven't decided if I want to live with it or not, but no reason not to try to minimize it if I can... especially when it takes literally less than 30 minutes to swap out the rear sections to try different things. once you've got the car up in the air.

I may be try welding up some straight pipes or an x-pipe for up front and put the stockers back on in back and see how that sounds... all part of the fun. The J-pipe would be pushing my fabrication skills but maybe someday.... i have the tools, but not necessarily the skills. Luckily, it's underneath the car so no one sees.
