Well done. Did Parker have the correct fittings or did they re-use yours?

Can you specify the fittings for us please (Parker part numbers)

Your spec says
For use with water and water-based hydraulic fluids
surely can't be right.

I wish you luck with Parker! You should know that Parker US and Parker Europe are different entities. We Walter and I both made several attempts to communicate with Parker Europe but they would not respond and all we wanted was information on the hose and connectors. As for the hoses and connectors they are metric and we were unsuccessful in finding that equipment in the US to remanufacture the hoses. As for the aftermarket hoses we have two sets one is to replace the connectors by Colliflower inc and the other is a direct connect by Top Hydraulics. All of this information is on my page.

As for your pursuit to get info from Parker I wish you luck. I do like the idea of the hoses being available in Argentina but you will pay a hefty fee on shipping and the conversion of currency. If you wish to do additional research look on my page at JagRepair.com - Jaguar Repair Information Resource or give me a call just send me a PM and I will send you my number. I hope you prove me wrong but from my experience with them and people associated with them you will not get what you are looking for. I can honestly say I have been there and done that.

As for the replacement hoses for the lifts or rebuild for the lifts go to Top Hydraulics link on my page.

Gus,
We use a lot of Parker pneumatics and have a good relationship with them.
The problem (as usual) is the Pond - it costs so much to have bulky items shipped from the States - then the French customs hammer on the taxes - that many of the US ready made solutions are untenable.

Yes we have seen this info but it does no good when you do not have the tooling to use it.

I agree but that should not stand in the way of communications between them and us. We made every effort to communicate without pointed or directed comments we were professional in every way. They did not wish to. As for shipping you are correct but what we wanted was for parker US to acquire the tools and dies and make replacements in the US. It all fell to deaf ears they wanted nothing to do with it then.

Gus,
Parker US are a strange bunch.
We needed some incredibly rare kevlar reinforced corrugated PTFE tubing making - even with your Military background I'd have to shoot you if I said what it's for - and I ended up getting ratty with their CEO one Christmas Eve - , I believe he eventually got a call from the Pentagon and, after that, they've been as good as gold.
Parker UK have always been OK.

I can only tell you my/our experience with Parker. We were told that Parker on the other side of the pond were the ones who did not wish to cooperate. We can throw stones on each side but the bottom line was that we got no cooperation from them so we both gave up and I elected to go another route having the roof hose developed by Cilliflower.

Today we have Top Hydraulics that has a hose that will bolt up to the rams and roof latch that will accept the pressure ratings so what is the point in contacting Parker? They did not want to help us (XK8/XKR) people with a problem they created then why try now…..

Hi all, I live in Argentina, not representative jaguar, xk only 5 throughout Argentina, I am guided by this forum and gusrepair to keep my car.
Parker's representative in Argentina, I went with my old hose and they made me the new terminal included with same thread. 2 hoses with connectors 4.75 mtrs. costs 1000 pesos, converted using 250.dolares aprox

I was told that this Parflex parker hose 55 lt model, have no more problems, I would like to upload a product image and connectors ..

I wanted to get hoses gus page, but not available in Argentina

I'll try to upload product photo .. and the representative.
