Default auto down /up stopped working

I have a 1998 XK8. rag top.

The auto down when you open the doors on both sides just stopped working. they were working, now they go down but not up if you keep pilling the door handle, the window will go all the way down a little at a time, but will not go up when you close the door.

Could this be a fuse?

It is acting like my BMW now, everday it's something new to fix.

Reset the Windows:

With the Door Closed, Lower the Window to the Bottom and hold the Switch for an additional 4 Seconds.

Raise and repeat for Window Up.

Repeat for other Door.

If this does not restore the Re-Seal function, your Battery may be weak.

If battery is weak - due to leaving lights on - CAN YOU CHARGE BATTERY with a standard charge directly connected to the battery terminals?? or do you have to discionnect the battery ? I do not want to burn up any electrical parts before I fix all the existing issues -- Thanks in Advance. PS I have no owners' manual due to lame 1st owner

Always recommend charging disconnected, or even out of car on the bench.

If you go to sticky notes at top of main page there is now a full set of owners books, including the owners manual and service guide available for download.
