Default auto side window snugger?

'Morning Gents:

...another question...

not sure what to call it but you know how the drivers window will open slightly and then "snug" up when you close the door?

well mine was doing that just fine but seems to have stopped. the window stays all the way up now and doesnt adjust when you go to close the door so it won't close properly.

i also notice that if i lift the door handle multiple times, each time the window will open about an 1/8 of the way.

the passenger window also opens in 3-4 of these 1/8 "moves" when i lower the top.

any experienced "ghost busters" out there on this one?

Thanks!

Tom

You need to program the Windows. Hold the down button until the window stops, then continue to hold it for about 3 more seconds until you hear a faint click. Then hold the up button until the window is fully raised, then continue to hold it until you hear another click. Repeat with the passenger window.

By the way, the Windows need reprogrammed whenever you disconnect the battery. If you haven't disconnect the batt recently, then you might have a weak battery.

Not sure how old your car is but my 97 gets the windows cycled every 5-10 times I use them. Some weeks are better than others but they loose their memory at least once a week. The battery is good but the old car probably has some grounds in the door that are not perfect or the mechanism is just in need of lubrication. I've yet to take the door panels off.
