Ok, so I'm back home after my big trip and my 2002 XKR has developed a couple of niggles. First, this happened just before I left on my trip, I have a bad microswitch on my passenger door. The window will move down when the door handle is operated but will then go back up as soon as the handle is released. I believe the part I need is Jaguar 97 98 99 00 01 02 XK8 Door Lock Actuator Right Passenger Tested | eBay. Would someone please confirm? Thanks,

That would be the part but the switch itself is very easy to replace and cost $5. I did mine with no issues and the door window works perfect every time.

 

Oh my no, if it is just the micro switch there is a much cheaper part:
C2N1908

Should be about $25 from the dealer.

The switch is kind of a pain to replace as it is a tight space but can be done in about an hour or so. Passenger side is easier than the driver, so that is something.

Great, thanks guys. I didn't think the micro switch could be bought by itself. I thought you had to buy the entire door handle mechanism.
