The rims aren't done yet and I could still theoretically do this. I had planned on polishing up the ones that come off.
They are titanium and always seem to Polish up easy enough with little effort. Not cheap either so polishing is certainly going to save money.

Well decided just to polish up old bolts as they all came out ok. Soon the color will be on. I went with a powder that resembled the original much better than what I had but different still. Also went for a semi gloss finish instead of a high gloss or satin. Anyway only apart at the moment. Soon I’ll update later new trim rings going on as well.

New mugs also which I posted in another thread asking for advice.

A better late than never post. Between covid and work/family elated things Ive finally picked up my refinished detroit wheels. Tires are a bit dirty but the wheels came out fantastic.

Wheels were straight but repainted a horrid darker gold paint that was flaking. Dependent on light the wheels look darker or lighter. Looking at them in person they look lighter than the photo. Not quite the original color but I think these will do. I picked the powdercoat out of a catalogue. Everything was too gold, too metallic, too pink

Also the clear is not a high gloss as I thought that would look just tacky and not all that original and a ceramic coat was applied for break dust. Anyway here they are. Next photo back on the car!

@XxSlowpokexX What colour is this exactly ?
there must be a RAL colour code. I am about to powder coat mines and would be happy to get information about the exact colour code you went with.
Also you could share more photos of your car having these wheels on.
Thank you so much !
Kind Regards
Kalci
