It's a F.S.H. 1998 Coupe, 147k Miles (and counting) runs superb.

 

A 5W-40 from any of the quality brands (e.g. Mobil, Castrol) will be suitable.

You will find plenty of threads arguing the pros and cons of dyno versus synthetic oils but I don't intend to get into a 'best oil' debate!

One thing I would advise is to consider an early oil change. It's the first thing I do when I get a new (to me) car. That way I know exactly what is in the engine and when it was done. This gives a baseline for future servicing.
