I have another story. I thought I would clean the fuel system in my Probe GT for PM years ago so I got some 44K and used it, within a couple days, it had fried both my O2 sensors in a car with about 20K on it. I never used anything like that again, a $300 boo-boo.
I have since used an injector cleaning service which did work very well and I found that the car did perform better after this service. I was able to match the injectors and it made the car run great.

 

Sorry to hear of your misfortune in using BG 44K. I used it for years and never had a problem only positive results.
