Anyone know the dimensions of the foremost (front) bolt that connects the intake air pipe assembly to the throttle body of a ‘99 MY 4.0? Naturally, the two bolts on that connection are different effing sizes, and I need to replace the front one ASAP. I know it has a different diameter and/or thread count from the one in the back, but I do not have the original on hand to measure.
Thanks in advance!

They are BOTH M6 x 1.00mm.

Hmm. Not so sure about that. I pulled the rear bolt first to check it for fit in the front mounting hole before posting here. I’ll have to go check it again, but I was sure it would not engage. I also recall the head sizes being different on the two originals. Another glitch in the matrix, maybe. Thanks!Originally Posted by motorcarman

Maybe some 'redesigned' your throttle assy but I have removed those bolts hundreds of times in my career and they are all the same. (even the SuperCharged with them on the same side)
M6 bolts can have 8mm heads or 10mm heads.(the Jaguar originals are 8mm heads)

On closer inspection, the original front hole has been stripped out at some point. There’s a “patch” or an insert subsequently retapped with a smaller hole than before. Barmy. It’s an easy workaround for me, I just would have preferred the proper bolt size in it.Originally Posted by motorcarman
