Borla Performance Exhaust System

Borla Performance Exhaust System
I am considering putting a Borla Performance Exhaust System onto my '02 XKR but first I have a question for someone who has done this mod. Does the noise inside the car increase with this system? If so, by how much? I really like this exhaust but I also really like how quiet my car is at highway speeds.

If it's like the Borla systems that some of the Corvette guys used to go for when I was over at that forum, the end consensus always seemed to end up as too much money for nil performance but lots of noise and resonance. There were plenty of posts about guys installing some aftermarket exhaust system and then, some time later, wanting to put the stock back on. The only perk was that you could say you had a Borla system (oh boy!)

IMO I think most Borlas have a reputation of being on the quiet side compared to other aftermarket systems; however, anything compared to OEM is going to significantly louder.
I would not switch out systems before hearing one on the road at highway cruising speeds. There is nothing worse than an rpm specific drone at your normal freeway cruising speeds.
I would exchange the cat down pipe [box] before doing anything else to increase exhaust performance. That thing is like a shoe box!
