Default Brittle Electrical Connectors!!!

I'm in the middle of tearing down the top-end of my motor to replace a blown head gasket. In the process of removing the electrical connectors to the coil packs and throttle body, several connectors fragmented under the mildest of pressure.

Am I stuck with replacing the entire harness or are there replacement connectors that I can swap out?

Many thanks in advance!

There have been many threads about the two pin connectors, and no one has been able to source them. I used high temp RTV and never had a problem.

^^ What he said. I have also used small dabs of RTV to hold a couple of connectors together when their brittle attachment clips snapped off when I was doing the plastic coolant outlet duct replacement job on my wife's 2006 XK8 back in November 2014. No issues with them since....

Default Electrical Connector Source

I had the same issue with plastic connectors disintegrating. I found a business online Ballenger Motorsports that has a good selection. I was able to find the exact connectors I needed.

Were they the two pin connectors for the AJ26 engine? If so, do you have the part#?

Thank you,RJ

Default Connectors

The connectors I replaced were on a AJ27 throttle body. I did not have any part numbers but was able to visually recognize the replacements. One was the 4 pin connector to the pedal position sensor and the other the 2 pin power supply connector. The throttle body components are made by Denso and the connectors are common to Japanese manufacturers. If I recall the connectors on my car were also common on Toyota's .

If you can get them, maybe from a wreck / ebay?

The above link is to US eBay and i am pretty sure this is the 4 pin connector I used for the repair on my 2000 XK8 throttle body.

Not much use for the two pin coil.
