Default Burst lift cylinder hose

Just attempted to raise the roof on my '99 convertible and one of the hoses burst at the pump end - it's one of the hoses going to the lift rams - the top latch hoses were replaced last year. Can't seem to find anything on the forum about what sort of a job it is to replace these hoses(obviously, since one has given out I will replace all four) - can anyone tell me if this procedure is difficult and what has to be removed?
Thanks in advance.

Rear seats, rear trim panels and rear speakers need to come out. That will expose the lift cylinders. It is not quite as much disassembly as the top hoses.

About to order the hydraulic fluid and after searching the site I see it is Pentosin CHF 11S but some vendors show it as a red fluid whilst others are showing it as green??? I take it I should go for the green but has anybody come across this before?

That's the correct fluid if you can get it - it is definitely green.

Do you have any pressure relief device installed on your car?

No I don't - I'm always careful to raise and lower the roof with the engine off and never operate it if it's been sitting in the sun. I have been looking at the TopHydraulics hose kit - according to the website it is manufactured to a higher spec. than the originals and well able to cope with the pressure generated during the lower/raise cycles.

Yeah, hopefully new hoses to a better spec will fix the problem. I was curious because I installed the relief valve with the hopes that it would help eliminate blown hoses. Since you don't have one, it doesn't answer that question. I suppose that, like the tensioners, the hoses are wear items on these cars and aren't up the the job.

Does anyone have a schematic showing the hydraulic connections on to the pump? I've checked Gus's site and though it's thorough I can't find anything showing the pump connections.

I can't find a schematic, but JTIS says:
LH cylinder: pump rear connectors-hydraulic cyl bottom hose to lower connector.
RH cylinder: pump front connectors-hydraulic cyl top hose to lower connector.
Pump inboard connectors are for top latch only.
Hope this helps

Update - replaced all four hoses supplying the lift cylinders- they looked to be on their last legs.I sourced the replacements from Top Hydraulics and they are shown on the outside as rated at 9000psi working pressure so hopefully they are well on top of the job.
Cheaper than the Jaguar parts too

Sorry! I do have the hose connection information but have not posted it on my page yet I guess I am a little late. I see you got the hoses from Top Hydraulics, good deal!
