97 XK*, are the front pads easy to replace on these? I have done disc brakes before on other cars in the past, is this car doable or should it be left to a professional? What about the back pads? Rotors seem fine, no shake or wobble when you hit the brakes. I just suspect the pads are about done.

Place cookie dough on 2 different baking sheets, set oven to 350 for 30 minutes, put in the first baking sheet. Now change the pads on the drivers side, when the oven dings, you should be done with the drivers side. Reset the timer and start the second batch of cookies, then start on the passenger side brakes. When the oven dings, you should have new brakes and a batch of cookies.

What is used to remove the caliper bolts so I can change the pads? They appear to need a hex wrench. What size? Metric or ???

Also what is a good pad to use? I just bought this 2000 XK8 yesterday and the front pads need replacing.

Be careful when doing your fronts and rears at the same time.. the master cylinder has a tendency to overflow from all of the pistons being pushed back in and brake fluid is like paint stripper.
