Default Car History Gremlin.

I've had my project RHD 1999 XKR Convertible for just under year now and its coming on okay, the car was first Registered in 1999 but is on a 2002 registration plate (UK) but its never been imported/exported however it has a British registration document from 1999 which was not issued in GB so I thought it had possibly been in a British island like Barbados or similar.

I spoke to a Uk Jaguar dealer about a part who said the car is on his system as a left hand drive car which was sent to Germany, he also said he'd not known anyone converting from left to right hand drive.

Has anyone had this issue or heard of it in the past?

Cheers

Does sound odd. A conversion from LHD to RHD makes no commercial sense whatsoever.

Is there anything on the 99 document that might be a clue? Could have come from closer to home, - e.g. IOM or over here in the CI?

Registration docs can be incorrect (mine is).

I had a friend in Australia who used to purchase E Types in the US and ship them to Australia. He then converted them to RHD before he sold them.
