My 2006 XKR with 84000 miles leans a bit in turns. I know my front control arm bushings are a bit worn. Would replacing them do much to improve that issue. Where else should I look if that would not make much difference?

 

Springs could be getting soft, new shocks may slow it down but the springs are holding the car up, or not. TM

 

It's a touring car, not a GT3.

 

Don"t get me wrong, I like the car and I have had it for 15 years. I had not driven it in a while and I just noticed that my Lincoln Continental has less roll than this car which surprises me, thought it might need something.

 

How is your stabilizer bar fixings, l have always appreciated how flat my own XKR turns, can't imagine a continental doing better.

 

Yeah I thought the same thing, but the Continental is a really great handling car. I generally set it normal suspension but it 's handling in sport mode is really tight, the comfort mode is squishy though. Too bad they don't make them anymore. Must be something that is off on my Jag. I have not looked at the rear suspension, but only noticed the bushings up front.

 

Your suspension is probablyneeding a refresh, as pointed out. That's probably the biggest factor. I would argue that there's another issue that may be contributing to how much it feels like the car is leaning in the corners, particularly under spirited driving. The seats offer almost no lateral support. It's too easy to slip and slide out of the seats. By not being securely held in place, I imagine it amplifies the sensation of body roll. It might not be the car's body that's rolling, but instead your own body.

That made me laugh, at 6’1” and 220 lbs. i don’t do much sliding in the seat.
