Default Replacement Subaru MAF sensor from a Subaru

People post about a non-OEM Subaru MAF sensor that is a replacement for the Jaguar OEM Denso unit, but never post the Subaru OEM MAF part number. I just purchased one for my 1999 4L Xk8 Coupe. The Subaru MAF works great and can be found for $30.00 all over eBay for a new unit. Here is the Subaru description and part number: Subaru OEM Airflow Meter, #22680AA310.

I wish the 4.0 XKR had a reasonably priced alternative like the XK8 does .

i think I’ve tried all the generic MAF’s that are advertised as working on the XKR’s. But have yet to find one that does….

My early production 2003 XK8 had Denso # 197-6030 stamped on it. Same as Toyota # 22204-22010. No problem, Since I substituted it earlier.

I assume that one works with the 4.2 XKR? They look the same and are advertised as being the same on Ebay at least.

I believe the 4.2 XKR’s use a more common MAF than the 4.0 XKR’s do

but I’d beware of trusting eBay sellers to know any particulars. I’ve run into counterfeit Jaguar parts on eBay more than once. They look genuine, right down to the ink stamped part number, etc.
