Unhappy Car wont start... Help!

I tried to start my car this morning only to come to find out it wont start. After trying to start it a message popped up and said "ASC and TRAC not available". So I pulled out my scanner to find only two error codes P0455 and P1000. Please help i cant get the car started at all.

Thanks for your time and help.
By the way the car is 2000 Jaguar convertible XK8

P1000 basically means that the testing cycle is incomplete. This is because you have (or have recently had) a trouble code, in this case P0455. It will go away after the problem is resolved and a number of drive cycles have completed. P0455 is usually caused by a loose gas cap, but that won't prevent your car from starting. It might help if you could give us other symptoms. Does it turn over? Start with the basics: check for a good battery and connection, fuel at the rail, and spark. Also, read this: https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/g...d-first-30792/ That comes from the XK8 FAQ: https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/x...ts-data-29800/

Let us know what's going on!

Possibly the Fuel Pump. One test is to connect a Fuel Pressure Gauge to the Schrader Valve on the rear of the right side Fuel Rail.

Sorry for taking so long to respond but i've just been really busy with work and school. So after that last post I did. I decided to clear the codes and try to start it. I know it wont solve the problem but I just wanted to see if the car would start and sure enough it did. Car started up fine without any problems. After a week later Im driving back home from the store and all of sudden the car feels like its ready to shut off so i pull over and I see this thing saying "restricted performance". So i ended up having to tow the car home. So I take out my handy obd scanner and P0353 and P1000 pop up. I know its a Ignition Coil problem, what would be the best way of fixing this problem? Again thanks for the help!

P0353 = Ignition Coil (A3) primary / secondary circuit malfunction

To test whether it's a faulty coil or a circuit fault, switch the coil with any other. Clear the codes and see if the error changes to the new location. If it does, it's the coil.
