Default Catastrophic Rear Hub Failure

I was driving to church and made a left hand 90 deg turn at 20 to 25 mph ad as i accelerated the car spun hard i was able to keep it in the roadway but as I brought it to a safe stop i realized i had a right rear suspension failure. I had it towed home and when i removed the wheel i saw the hub had broken in half. when it failed the lower control arm broke the rim. Have any of you experienced this? I'd like to sell the remaining 3 rims and buy some new rims. because i cant locate any 18" 10 hole oem rims. Are there any rims that match? ie mustang? are rims speed rated? i want to check off the 200 mph club on my bucket list.

2000 xkr coupe

In case you decide to keep the OEM rims, here is the XKR 'double-five' which I think your car has on ebay: Original 18 Jaguar XK8 XKR Wheel Factory Stock 59714 | eBay

Our of curiosity, are the XKR 'double five' rims really worth this much ($350 a pop?) My XK8 has them and selling all four would net about what I paid for the entire (non-running) car. Not that I am going to sell them because I am sure to re-animate the car...but....

They are really sharp. Probably why I bought the car in addition to its burgundy paint.

Well they are refurbished, but $350 is a bit high, though it does include shipping. $250 would be a fairer price to me. The seller is accepting offers though.

200 mph I a 2000 XKR, good luck! Sorry about you issues, rims are expensive but that sounds like the least of your problems.

Thankx Whitexkr I might do that. I have been looking at replacing the rims for years now but haven't done it so I'll likely buy this rim. Jandreu Do you not think a 2000 xkr can make 200? I've been over 170 with plenty rpm left. I think the previous owner upgraded the ecu and snorkel pulley. Per my mechanic. Whats the expected terminal velocity?

186 should be feasible, but you do need some extra oomph there. 200 isn’t anymore as the gearbox doesn’t lock the clutch converter, so you do run out of rpm…
