Hi All.... Can anyone let me know the part number for the 12v lighter in the center console of a 2005 XK8..... The one in my Jag has needed replacement forever and I am not able to locate the part number or somewhere to order it. A web place called Terrys Jaguar Parts used to have it.... but marked discontinued. No part number associated.
I would appreciate the help.

I was able to purchase one from SNG Barrett for my 08 XK (I didn't have a part number, just muddled my way through their website for the cigar lighter).

 

If it just doesn't work, it may be that the connectors on the bottom are loose. They must be pulled off if the console is removed for some repair, and they are difficult to re-install. I extended the wires on mine just to make it easier next time. Check the fuse too ( I know you probably did this).

 

Thanks for responding.... former owner, she melted something in it and I believe it is not possible to clean it out so it would work again.... I probably should take closer look.... it has been a while since I checked on it.

I just replaced mine with a smart usb charger and voltmeter, and then fitted 12v accessory sockets to the glovebox and trunk accessory connectors for traditional 12v sockets. Having a voltmeter is really nice in these cars.

I have my lighter socket available for free if you want it, I'm in San Bruno on the peninsula, just drive down and get it. Or replace with a USB like me
