Hi all!

I am basically finnished with this Project. Some glitches in the software still, and some to add, but else it is looking quite nice or what do you Think?

coating the pad with some fake Wood made a huge difference.

And ofcourse it needed an apropriate screensaver.

I will make a custom keyboard where the ashtray supose to be, with the most used keys for the pad. But that will be next months Project.

Hi Zecretw,
Fantastic work. Thanks for sharing this.

I can't see the 'Space-time phase distort' button:- next week's project?

Best,
Mike

Thanks for sharing your work, a great idea and you had the know how to make it happen. A touch mouse pad to operate it would be cool if possible. Great work!

The flux capacitor is in the back.

I thought that the touchscreen would be sufficient, what would be gained with a pad that I did´t think of?

Talking Project finished! (For now anyways)

To make the mod complete I needed to replace the ashtray with a small keyboard. allowing for the most basic functions to be handled without looking at the pad.

I have some on the stearingwheel, but also passengers should be able to use it.

So, I found an old keyboard in the trash. Then cutting out the keys I needed and glued them together to a mini keyboard. Then using a PCB and $1 buttons with that "click" feel to make it complete.

Then attach it to a piece of plexi and form it to the right shape and cover it all in some fake Wood and it looks like it is ment to be there.

And at last a mood-image to brag a Little.

I am quite happy with this mod. Allthough I will probably modify the tray infront of the shifter to hold an USB connector and a "real" hazard button as I belive it is required by law here..

Does anyone have a 3D model of that piece I can have? I know a lot of you have made phone adapters in these trays.

Great work. I do believe this takes the prize for electronic mods.

It is a Windows tablet. You use the windows button to display the win8 start menu page, with shortcuts to my favourite apps.

Wow! Really great work.

Modernizes the interior, but retains the 3-gauge layout. I'm jealous.

why not do the same then?

It is easy now when all the connector decoding has been done.
