Default center guage light bulbs replacement

2005 XK8. The heated seat light went out so I removed the console and pulled out the center guage cluster (5 minute job) which includes all the heat/AC bulbs, traction control on/off, heated seats (2), fog lights front and rear and emergency blinker. There are 16 bulbs in all. I thought I would replace all the bulbs while I had everything out. I would like to upgrade to LED's. Does anyone know of a better replacement bulb. The jaguar dealership here wants $17.00 a bulb for OEM replacement bulbs.

I found the OEM bulbs at SNG Barratt for half the price. Much better. I still wonder if there is a LCD replacement.

The left side of my gauge cluster over the steering wheel is out. Do you know which of these bulbs would be for it?

There is a nice video on how to replace the gauge bulbs over the steering wheel but I think he replaced them with LCD bulbs.

Hard to be certain, but more than likely the seat control module is responsible for this. You can test this by swapping the control modules between passenger and driver and see if the problem follows the module. These modules are easy to reach: they are under the front overhang of the seat cushion, held by a couple of 10mm nuts. If a module ends up faulty, some forum member have offered repair services for a nominal fee. New modules are hard to find/prohibitively expensive, and may require re-programming (trip to the dealer).

Best of luck, keep us posted.
