Central locking problem
The central locking on my 1999 XKR (boght it 1 year ago) is not always working as expected. I borrowed a code reader and this is what came up. What does the codes mean and can you guide me on what to do and how to fix it?
I can sometimes lock the car with the fob but have never been able to lock with the key.
Inside the car I can lock both doors vithe drivers door handle. (EU leftt hand drive car)

Hi,
Now you have a note of them, I'd suggest that you clear these codes and see if they reappear. They may be old and/or spurious (particularly the 'Unnnn' SCP ones).
C1419 I can't find for MY99, but it shows on MY2003 with the fault your reader is reporting. However, I'd expect a message on the dash indicating a suspension fault if it is still valid.
For the inability to lock with the key, investigate the microswitches in the door latch (lots of posts on here about them).
You will find the MY99 Electrical Guide useful: it is available to download, courtesy of member Gus, here:

I have the electrical guide and have tried to erase the error codes.
The C1419 (adaptive damping system) is erased but the U1135/U1041 (SLM) could not be erased.
My asumption was that there were no contact between the code reader and the SLM so the codes could not be erased.
Is that a correct asumption?

I have been reluctant to remove the door latch as it involves a lot of work and have tried other solution first.
Is your recomendation now to go ahead with removing the door latch and replace the microswitches?

If you can't erase the code, it means the fault is still there - those codes are to do with the SCP network. Do you have memory seats and if so do the memory buttons work? Can you open and close the passenger window from the controls on the driver's side? Both of those will give you a clue as to whether the SCP is working or not.
No memory seats.
I can open and close both side windows från driver´s side.
I disconnected the Intelligent sounder unit in the front right wheel arc to test if this might solv something.
But had to connect it again since the alarm went of when opening the boot and could not be shut off with the remote.
After reconnecting the unit the car went back to previus unsolved status.

I think you might need to get the SLM out of the car and inspect it for any water ingress or damage and inspect the connectors at the same time.
Have you searched the forum for U1135 and seen what troubleshooting steps are specified for that code?
Lot of suggested steps related to seat memmory etc. All are not relevant for my car.
I have inspected the connectors of the SLM below the fuse box and sprayed with the right stuff without changes.
Next thing is to do the same with the Drivers Door Module behind the speaker.

Sorry - my english is not too accurat. I have seen a lot of treads but some are not relevant for my car but some are indeed.
Removed the door card today and could see that the L-formed top of the rod leding to the key barrel is unconnected to the mechanism.
Now I must investigate how to reconnect it.

Well, I managed to remove the drivers door handle and reconnect the key barrel rod.
Also disconnected the drivers door module and cleaned the connectors.
Reconnected the battery and scanned for error codes.
Still got the SLM fault code U1135 and U1041
When trying to reset the codes my ICarsoft CR MAX indicates: "Fail to complete erase operation"
Same result after a "hard reset"
And now my key fob doesnt work so I will change the battery and see what happends.

New question related to electrical guide.
I need to find the error or fault codes list but cant find any for my 1999.
Someone wrote it is to be found in the sticky section above. Sorry to say, I cant find witch section to open. Can you help with complete error codes list?

The list I've got is the one linked to in the stickies, but it's for the 2003 model. You can get it from jagrepair.com:-
JagRepair.com - Jaguar Repair Information Resource
Maybe someone else has the 1999 version if it's different. Perhaps start a new thread and ask.
Usually though the best resource is to search for the error codes on the forum using the forum search function.
