I put some black silicone around the edge of mine and wedged it in place until it dried. It seems to be holding so far.

If you have a coupe, you can put a couple of short strips of velcro on the bottom. The velcro attaches it to the package shelf, and keeps it from moving around. Don't know if this would work on the Conv....

Yes the convertibles had it mounted on the trunk lid and the coupes were mounted on the rear window, just above the package shelf.

I would be very interested in the LED light bar for the third brake light if you still have it. Helping my uncle restore a 98 XK8 hardtop and half the lights in the third brake light are not working. I can pay shipping also. Thanks

Matthew, I just retrieved it from the garage (glad I held onto it). If it's needed, I also have the "tray" that slides over the light assemble...looks like a broad, shallow dust pan? It is a medium grayish brown with a black seal on the edges..

There is a restriction on using forum PM's until a new member has passed the qualifying number of posts and minimum membership period. Full details are in the MUST read link at the end of this post.

Just go reply to 10 or so threads and you should then be able to use the PM function....

I guess that you will have to find 10 threads to which to post responsible replies.
That will get you over the hurdle and we can then trade PMs to get you the part.
