Cigarette Lighter assembly
My lighter assembly (not the lighter itself) is not working....I have a 97 XK8. I need to charge phone and stuff...... I checked the fuse, it is good. How do I replace the holder???

Unfortunately the Centre Console has to come out to get to it.
1. remove the selector lever finish panel:

2. remove the Centre Console:

It could be the connector for the socket is simply unplugged. If the console was removed at some point during service, the tech may have neglected to plug it back in.
