I would like to replace my climate control bulbs. I understand the dealer sell bulbs for $12 but do anyone know the actual bulb sizes ? Usually you can buy bulbs cheap online.

They are Jaguar specific so the easiest and best way is to order them from the main agent , however it is possible to replace them with "grain of rice" lamps if you are handy with a soldering iron ,

Problem is the colored bulbs have silicone rubber color filters on them, and they often tear when removed to put on a replacement bulb. I would recommend OEM to save that hassle...about 1/3 the price you were quoted here:

I looked at the prices but if you add shipping and handling just for 1 bulb you are near $20. There must be a size or bulb type to use. Does any of the bulbs in this link look like they would fit ? They have bulbs for $1.49 each.

I am quite sure you can get one to fit, but you may have brightness and color variations unless you get really lucky.

Why don't you order them from Nalley Jaguar (see forum sponsors), who generally sells at or below list, and has free shipping over $25 for members. You can make up the $25 with a maintnenance item like an air filter or some spare bulbs. Quite often when one bulb goes, the others are not far behind.

 

A few of my climate control bulbs were out on my car, I replaced the burned out ones a few weeks ago and I have some leftovers from an extra control unit that I bought just for the bulbs. There are two different kinds of tiny bulbs from what I remember. Send me a PM with your address and I can drop them in the mail.
