I recently purchased a 1997 XK8 and the climate control seems to have no power . I took a controller out of another car that was working and it does not work in my car . any suggestions.

On another note maybe related , this car had an aftermarket radio . when I put a radio out of a working car it also seems to have no power.

If anyone can help it would be greatly appreciated.

there is a self test feature on the AC control head I'm looking up in a minute on page 109 . Codes in the second file .

There are 3 fuses for the stereo .

Looking at power sources later

 

We both have x100 cars but the problem is no power to the controller, all the lights behind the buttons work, nothing on the display. I checked all the fuses in the right passenger side all were good. Here is the kicker the original controller started not blowing much heat unless engine was at 2000 rpm, then it went out ...no power. Every once in a while it would just come on and work like new then when i shut the car off and turned it back on it would be out again. Eventually it quit all together, bought another controller that was out of a running car and it wont turn on either
