That part is clearly for a Tie fighter, there is an image of one right on the part. This opens up a whole new set of conversations.

Actually, this whole clock spring arrow pointer thing has completely changed my world view. I would feel the same if I went to the Doctor with a stomach ache and he said I had some kind of disorder of an entirely new giblet that I had never heard of before.
