Hi guys,
I had the RP code come up on my 99 XK8.I had trouble with it before on other cylinders,so without checking the plug hole(big mistake) I bought 10 new coils ( I got a good deal but had to buy 10). I got the coils and when to change the bad one and found when I removed the old coil oil in the plug hole.....darn. I cleaned out the hole and did install a new coil, it's been running fine now for about 1000 miles. So if anyone is in need of any 4 pin coils #xw-93-12029-AB. I have some at a hugh saving.

 

Started searching the web this morning and found that XW93-12029-AB replacement coils are used on other vehicles like Honda and can be had out of China and Japan "new" for $10 to $17 including free shipping. Since a stock Denso unit seems to fail at alarming rates maybe we ought to just buy them by the case.
