Default Coil Springs MJA2162AA Spring Packer How Many?
Hi,

I started building new front struts with all new parts for my XKR. Coil Springs, shocks, seat, upper mount. But how many Spring Packer on the Lower Seat do I need? I stopped because I only purchased 1 per side. I saw pictures with up to 3 per side.

Just one per side. I don't think they stack very well, and assume it's to adjust for spring sag when they use more than one.

Curious the white packer that came with the spring, it is cheap and falling off one of the springs, it's tapered. Does that get installed also?

I just did mine and it had 3 black ones and the white "required" one... I got rid of two of the black ones and it's fine (and I did keep the white one also).

If you need to raise the ride height you can put a spacer up to 3/8 thick on top of the shock mount. I did that on my 97 using a plastic cutting board for stock.

It amazes me though, that with the engineering in the car, there is not a solid spec. Rothwells pictures are great, that looks like there are 2 installed.
