Convertible top failure
I have a 1999 XK8, and when I tried to put up the top it failed just before the latch was to engage. Now the top will not rise or lower. Could this be the fuse or something worse?

Open the valve shut-off on the pump assy and pull the top the rest of the way closed and latch it with the Allen key in the top lock hole?
(hydraulic line/latch/cylinder failed?)
Worry about it later but at least the car will be operational.

Open the boot (trunk) and remove the carpeting on the right hand side of the car, its above the CD changer.
