Default Convertible XKR. How to close door without power ?

The battery in my 2005 XKR convertible died. Was able to open drivers door, but window wont drop. Is there a way to manually dropthe window enough to close the door until power can be restored?

I know it's not ideal, but in the short term, I just closed the door hard. For longer term, I bet you could manually unlatch the top at the header, use that little crank at the top pump in the trunk to release pressure, pull the top up a little, close the door, latch the top again up at the header and tighten the little crank at the pump. That would make the top seal onto the window.

I'd just get a battery charger or a jump pack on the battery and that will get the juice going enough to get it to drop. You'll not have programming to have it go up, and it's likely the battery will die again and lose it if you were to program the windows. That's by FAR the easiest route since the other options all take longer and are futzing around.

+1 on jumping. If you need to you could lower the window a smidge before disconnecting power. That way you have egress while you sort out a new battery.

I suppose unlatching the roof will work. Just don't forget you'll have a roof header gap by not being able to rescure it before you can drop the window.
