2004 XKR window doesn't stay down to close door

2004 XKR window doesn't stay down to close door

When I pull up on the handle the window drops like it is supposed to. When I release the handle the window goes back up, can't close the door smoothly. Is this usually a switch? Regualtor? Door control computer?

Have you performed a window reset yet? Hold down both window buttons for a few seconds untill you hear a soft click, then hold up both window button for a few seconds again until you hear a soft click.

Failing the reset procedure, locate and check the correct operation of the door switches, it could be that one is sticking.

Thanks..tried reset with no luck..I'll look at the switches

The "Door Closed Switch", mounted on the Latch Assembly, inside the Door, has probably failed. Jaguar can supply the Switch only, as a replacement part.
