Default Coolant level sensor pigtail

I replaced the coolant level sensor and noticed that the connector (pigtail) did not have a metal clip on it like many of the others do. Any way to fix this without buying another connector?
Thanks.

My sensor ends in a connector with male connectors inside a female housing which matches the connector on the leads to the car. Not sure I follow your description. Could you post a picture?

sorry the pic is crappy. The connector with the clip is on the brake reservoir.you have to press the clip to take off the connector.
the coolant level sensor connector doesn't have a clip.

Mine doesn't either. Maybe the Jaguar design thought is that if the connection comes loose you will take it to a dealer for repair without involving any safety issues . . . or we both have defective connectors.
