Last week, I posted about a recurring problem with the cooling fans failing intermittently on the 06 XKR, a potentially deadly problem. The last time it happened, right after I shut off the engine, I could hear a buzzing noise near the fans. Thinking that this was a bad relay in the cooling fan module trying to activate the fans, I ordered a used one (they are not available new separately from the fan unit) from Coventry West. This module has corrected the problem and the fans work normally again. It does require removing the fan unit which takes a little while and includes removing the top radiator hose.
