Default Coupe owners – Check your door top seals !

I recently checked my door top seals, removing the rubber seal and metal gutter – it was dire under the gutter trim which is lined with a thin layer of foam rubber – this not only allows water between the gutter trim and the door glass body but harbors it and rots the trim, securing screws and body. I’m refurbishing my trims, body contact areas and the rubber seals themselves which both leak water down the dashboard ends and fuse panels.

Is this worth while writing up the refurb steps and pics to anyone ?

If you haven't checked under there recently, I strongly suggest you take a look before the rot gets into your C pillar and roof panel.

I had a similar problem on the RHS:

There's a link within to a post from ChrisHens which I found helpful.

The other side was OK so I just replaced the securing screws with SS ones.

And +1 on a writeup, please.

No problem, unfortunately I’m part way through the refurbishment but will document what I can.
