Paul, gee, thanks! What year is your XK8? If the Jags in BRG looked in person as dark as the picture David posted in his message, as opposed to his signature pictures and the pictures you posted, I'd be willing to sell my black coupe and get one. However, in the metal, they are not quite as dark as I'd prefer and that makes me feel better about having to settle for black. Years ago, I saw a (then brand new) Aston Martin DB7 coupe in a showroom and THAT was the shade I crave when I think of BRG. The Jags in BRG look great in cloudy light but in full sun seem a bit too light for my taste.

That said, the announcer at a concours d'elegance in Hillsborough, CA stated that British Racing Green is ANY green and indeed there do seem to be many versions out there.

 

Why not fit an electric sunroof to the coupe and have the best of both worlds.
