Cracks in Wood Veneer . . .
Does anyone know if there is a supplier of wood veneer replacement dash and shifter facia panels? I've got some slight cracks in the finish on my 2001 XK8. I'm one of those people that hates imperfections in my toys.

A far less-costly option is to find a retired woodworkers' hobby club in your area and take your cracked wood panels to them, along with a box of doughnuts. These guys spent their lives perfecting their craft and usually have every woodworking tool known to man and the skills to use them. They love these types of projects and will often do them for free or perhaps for the cost of whatever supplies they need for your particular job. I took this route more than 20 years ago with one of our vehicles at that time and was amazed at the quality and longevity of the work they did for me. They also designed and built a custom teak jewelry box for my wife's birthday. I supplied the teak and they did the rest. She still loves that piece and prominently displays it on our master bedroom fireplace mantel....
Google "woodworking hobby clubs" along with your city and state names, make some phone calls, and let us know how it turns out....

Was the actual wood cracked, or just the varnish? I have that and was concerned as to what caused it.
