Default Crank no start. Control modules are outs And ground wires

Hello forum. I’ve read almost every thread pertaining to crank no start issues. I found them to be most helpful thank you everybody for their input. I’m still having an issue I wanted to ask if you questions. The ABS pump motor has exposed wires, and I think that they may have shorted my computer modules. Service code state that I have communication problems between the units. The pictures of the pump motor that is attached to the ABS module, as well as a picture of the module itself. I also included a picture of my ground wires and was wondering what you all thought it’s far as their condition. I’m afraid I need to see my modules in for repair.

The ground straps look OK - I can't see any obvious fraying. If there is, then repair or replace, otherwise just clean up the end connectors and refit.

I'm afraid you've caught a couple of components when opening the ABS module case:

...so a module repair service may not take it on.

Given the deteriorated wiring on the motor, unless it can be dismantled it may be easier to source a complete replacement unit.

As michaelh has said, those two MOSFETs are now dead and would need to be replaced anyway, so a second hand unit might be the way to go if you can find one at a reasonable price. Make sure you match the VCATs number from the label in your boot (TCM) when sourcing a replacement unit.

As for your other modules, get the ABS module fixed/replaced first before deciding everything else is dead. There is no reason the ABS module harmed anything else, but it may well be shorting out the CAN bus, so nothing is working at the moment. You might want to look for threads on how to test the CAN bus to see if it is indeed shorted and you should check all your fuses, but don't immediately decide the mysterious modules are fried, just because nothing works.

BTW michaelh, your inbox is full.
