Default Creak in center of Dash

Hi all,

For the past few years Ive had a creak in the center of my dash when going up and down sideway driveways. I started driving the car again and its beginning to bother me. The suspension feels tight when driving and bushing and joint boots look fine. Its getting warmer so Im going to dig into it.

Any ideas? Does this issue sound familiar?

Thanks!

The walnut around the centre three dials just pulls off .see if that fixes it . The walnut around the main gauges also just has two screws at the bottom..pull forward and down ..it has two tongs at the top ...see if that fixes it. if not turn the radio up. If your wife talks as much as mine you won't hear it.

I also had a central squeak which was solved by a simple task shown in this vid by John Dee.

The 01 Xkr I had had a very annoying squeek when I purchased it, probally why t hey sold it, Finally after a couple of thousand annoying miles and much searching found the windshield moulding was contacting the glass. Small insulators at effected areas took care of problem. I surmised that the glass had been replaced before my ownership and the adhesive was a little thick.

One of my 2000 XKRs has a loud squeak at the top of the windscreen conv top header rail.
I think it must be the windshield moulding contacting the glass.
Pulling off the trim will be in my future.
