Default Cruise control fault - 2006 XK 8 4,2

"Warning - Cruise control not available!" Could anyone suggest an economical fix for the problem. I believe that it has to do with the brake light switch. Any other suggestions? Thanks in anticipation.

Defender, I've moved your post from the General Tech Help to the XK8/XKR section where forum members with the same model will be better suited to support your questions.

If you check out the first few threads, you will see several How to's etc that may be of assistance.

Also as this is your first post, please stop by the New Member Section and post an intro, in return you will receive a warm welcome and some helpful hints on navigating your way around

Yes--likely the brake switch. Just had mine replaced by an independent Jaguar specialist and cost was about $376 I believe.
