Default Damaged wheel trim

Told the wife that if she drove the Jag, to make sure to never get too close to a curb while parking. Found a huge dent in the wheel trim this Saturday. Definitely too big to buff out. Gonna have to replace it or her. Luckily, the wheel barrel seems undamaged.

Anyone have the name of a good divorce lawyer?

OR

Anyone know where to I can order a relatively inexpensive new wheel trim for a 20 inch BBS Perseus wheel?

I can find them available from some websites in the UK, but I'm not in a hurry to pay shipping from the UK. I'm guessing it might be cheaper if I find a replacement and take it to my mechanic to replace it than having him order a replacement at a likely much higher price.

Found a recent thread for that very, expensive repair. BBS Trim rings are worth more than their weight in gold.

The best place to do this is BBS-America in Georgia. Just look up their website. This repair is a specialist repair, the trims are glued on and the titanium bolts can be problematic, I would have them do the repair for safety and to prevent other damage. It generally runs around $500.

They will not supply just the trim ring, all about liability insurance not covered by a self install.

20" are available here in the UK, but they don't make 19's, gutted, I had to have them removed, rim and centre powder coated.

I think you're idea of locating a clean spare would be the best option. how much does the aftermarket rim and post shake out at?

I contacted the local Jag dealer parts department and he told me to call and speak to the shop they use to do their wheel and trim work. I gotta take a pic of the damage and send it to him to see if it's something they can fix. I'm hoping that's the case. My eyes tell me probably not.

I had originally told the wife she needed to get this fixed, but I think I'd be worrying even more if she was doing this.

I've read that some tire places had recommended removing the wheel trims and polishing up the wheel underneath the trim and going without. Anyone ever seen this? The trim must be aesthetic if they're doing this. I wonder how that would look?

Just to save "wives" - and probably others - I have been the blame of curb rash on my right front wheel since the day i got this beauty. I can't see or feel where that wheel is - and I'm sympathetic to those with the same challenge. Just send us reliable repair links - Thanks, DaleD

two of my rims had the trim removed and the rim polished. Because of where I am, the shine had gone, but if you're in a dry climate it'll be ok. It all depends on the state of the rim underneath the trim ring....also who's doing the job. I was told that a diamond cutting wheel specialist can get the rim looking good, but that would mean doing all four!
