Hello Everyone,

In the vein of trying to keep my car in nice shape, (ignore dust bits on dash, top down, windy day) I'd like to get this repaired. Have any of you had this happen? The center speaker grill is shot as well, it's like a crisp crepe suzette. If anyone happens to have the part number to it, that would be awesome. I suppose my only move is to take it to an upholstery shop, or use staples.

I was looking at your pictures and wondering why my car doesn't look anything like that. Then I noticed your car is a 2007. This sub-forum is for XK8 and XKRs for which the final model year is 2006. Post over on the sub forum for the newer cars and you should get a good response.

By the way, we certainly have issues with our model cars, but not this one (I don't think).

New dash, and about 25 screws and nuts oh and new speaker grill. Or get a dash mat for cheap and tell everyone youre "protecting" the dash from sun damage

 

Amazing it failed so quick. Im going to let an upholstery shop attempt to fix it.
